When I was 20 years old. I randomly packed up my car and moved to Logan, UT. Not having much of a plan and very much out of my comfort zone. Long story short and 4 years in the making, I quickly pushed myself out of my bubble and made great friends, started my business, traveled, and eventually met the love of my life.
Currently my husband and I live in South Jordan, Utah, where I have continued to grow and work full time on my business. My husband is my biggest supporter. He understands that photography isn’t just a job for me, it’s my lifestyle. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and being able to freeze time, emotions, and stories for generations to look back on. My first name is Sloan, one syllable.
My middle name is Olivia. Sure you're reading this thinking why is this girl so crazy about her name. WELL, let me tell you. I was born without a middle name. When I was 8 years old my mom told me about all the names she was going to name me instead of Sloan. Well... one of those names was OLIVIA. I was in AWE and from that day on I went around to everyone and introduced myself as Sloan Olivia. I even would write it on all my school assignments. Well I was such a stubborn ass child. That my amazing mother traveled 6 hours to my home state capital and legally changed my name to Sloan Olivia. SO that's how I got my name and I have no regrets.
I'm a full time photographer. I don't like to say I specialize in just one thing because I honestly enjoy it all. But if we are being real and I had to pick one thing to photograph for the rest of my life it would be weddings.
